How to make Easter treat baskets

Materials you’ll need to make the treat baskets
- Paper Coffee Cups – Choose cups with a colorful or patterned design to add an extra special touch to your baskets. (I LOVE these gingham paper cups or get some fun Easter paper cups)
- Treats – From chocolates to candies, fill your little baskets with the goodies your recipients will enjoy most.
- Jute – This natural fiber adds a rustic and elegant touch to your basket designs.
Colored Paper – For vibrant and fun decorations, like bunny ears, use various shades of paper to embellish the baskets.
Equipment
- Scissors – Essential for cutting paper, jute, and other materials to shape.
- Pencil – Helpful for marking measurements and creating templates.
- Stapler and Staples – For quickly and securely attaching decorative elements or structure to the baskets.
Substitutes
- Construction Paper or Cardboard – Use these instead of paper for the bunny ears, choose colors like white, pink, blue, or yellow for a fun and festive look.
- Glue Stick or Hot glue – Replace the stapler and the staples with any of these to attach the bunny ears and other decorations onto the cup.
How to make a Paper Cup Basket
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Carefully remove the top ring of the coffee cup by cutting it out with scissors.

Create the basket shape by folding the top of the cup inward on both sides, then gently opening it back up.

Draw bunny ears on paper, cut them out, and set them aside.

Attach the bunny ears to the coffee cup ring using a stapler.
Cut a length of jute, tie it into a bow, and secure it between the bunny ears for a charming touch.

Staple the ring to the inside of the coffee cup, ensuring it’s secured on both sides.
Fill the basket with your favorite treats or goodies.

Close the cup by folding the top inward, using the shape you formed earlier.

Optional: Add decorative elements like paper flowers, miniature bunnies, or themed stickers to give your basket a unique and festive look.
Sizing and Scaling Your Easter Basket Cups
Each basket is perfectly sized to hold just the right amount of treats for one person. However, you can easily adjust the size to suit your needs—simply choose a larger or smaller container. Tailor the contents to your recipient’s preferences to make it truly special and unforgettable.
