Select 5 to 6 colored craft papers for this project. Select each color for one shape. Trace the shapes on the craft papers with a pencil and cut them out nicely.

Grab the paper plate, the shape cut outs and the craft glue. I glued a round shape cut out on the center of the plate.

For the next layer I used the triangle cut outs. I kept the pointy edge facing outwards.

For the third layer I used square cut outs. I glued each square in the gap between 2 triangles from the previous step.

Did another layer of triangles but this time glued them with the pointy edge facing towards (the center). Just keep adding more shapes until the paper is filled. Remember, the more colourful and more shapes you add to the rangoli the better it will turn out!

This is the fun part; it gives the paper plate rangoli a more festive look. Use scissors to cut out a zigzag border on the plate.

Allow the glue to dry or add more details if you want to.
