Printable Paper House Templates
We have a set of Free Printable Paper House Templates for you to have a go at! There are 9 to collect, print and make. They make great mini printable dollhouses (though you may also want to peak at this adorable printable mouse house if doll houses are your thing!).
These 3d Printable Paper Houses are designed to add some fun activities to any geometry or maths lesson looking at 3d Shapes. It is a great way to introduce some coloring mindfulness time, as well as to spark the imagination.
I had some lovely instagrammers test out the pages for me and I LOVE the playful feedback I got from them. Especially the creation of the little Penelope Doll, who is currently out house hunting for her perfect dream home. Ah big thank you to Honda and Hollie and Humayra for sharing their fantastic images with me.
The basic “design your own paper house” plus 4 further house templates are available for free to Red Ted Art readers (just at $0 at checkout or add a tip if you wish), though a more detailed set of 9 is available. Choosse the pack that suits you and your kids the best.
Supplies needed to make these folding houses:
- A printer
- Light cardstock is best for these, though paper works well
- Coloring pencils/ pens/ markers
- A pair of scissors
- Glue stick

Begin by choosing your favourite house design from the 9 different Paper House Printables available. Remember – one of the houses is completely blank, so you can make your own paper house design – from number of windows, to doors and roof tiles!
Take your time coloring in your house templates! This is a lovely opportunity for some mindfulness time and “together time”. You could just chat, listen to some music or put an audio book on! These house coloring pages are perfect for rainy afternoons or winter days!
Now it is time to cut out and assemble! We have SOOOO many images to share from our lovely Instagram testers.
They are so fun to color – so many details to add and explore.

Great for 3d modelling and thinking, some coloring page mindfulness time and to stimulate imagination (e.g. our students created their own paper dolls to go with the houses). You can choose to decorate these paper houses seasonally too and a the set of 9 has a “blank” version for students to totally design their house details from scratch.
