Flower Bunny Egg DIY
Well. We have made Easter Bunny Egg Decorations before. A bunny egg is of course the perfect little Easter Decoration to make with the kids!! Add a little thread to hang them from (see how on our Egg Blowing post) and they would look simply DARLING in an Easter Tree! Today’s Bunny Egg Craft is EGG-Xtra cute.. as we have added a little flower crown (we have made simple Easter Bunny Eggs before.. you may like the other version too!). Needless to say the flower crown is optional, but isn’t it just adorable? Just so fresh and Spring Like!! Love everything about it! I can never resist and adorable Bunny Craft!
Flower Bunny Egg Decoration – Materials
Today’s tutorial uses wooden eggs – wooden eggs are great for “longevity” of these type of Easter Decorations… however, we ADORE crafting with REAL Egg Shells.. and you will be surprised by how well kids are able to handle precious egg shells! Really, they can do it. It is great for fine motor skills too… and if an egg shell breaks whilst crafting? Well it doesn’t matter…. they were “free” after all.. right? All part of the process.

- Wooden or Paper Mache Eggs
- Acrylic Paint
- Paintbrush
- Cardstock
- Glue
- Hot Glue
- Pencil
- Black Paint Pen or Permanent Marker
- Scissors
- Paper & Plastic Flowers
- Mini Pom Poms
How to make your Bunny Eggs
Paint the wooden eggs. You will need to give each egg 2-3 coats of paint. Allow the paint to dry completely.
Make your own ear and leaf template (as per the drawings above).
Cut the template out and trace onto cardstock. Cut each piece out.
Glue the pieces of the ears together.
Glue the ears onto the bunny’s head.
Glue cardstock leaves, paper and plastic flowers onto the bunny.
Use a small paintbrush to paint a nose onto each rabbit.
Dip your pinky finger into pink paint and dab onto each rabbit to give them rosy cheeks. Allow the paint to dry completely.
Use a pencil to draw eyes and a mouth onto each egg.
When you are satisfied with how the eyes and mouth look, trace over them with a black paint pen or permanent marker.
Glue a mini pom pom onto the back of each egg (bunny tail).
