We LOVE Making Pom Poms! And we love making seasonal wreaths with the kids. Bring the two together and we have this easy Pom Pom Sheep Wreath for Spring and Easter Crafting! So cute.
The best bit? It doesn’t need 100s of pom poms to make one wreath. Making it cheaper (pom poms use a lot of wool!!) and quick (we love pom poms.. but no 100s of them.. ha). Take a peak at our easy how to make a pom pom sheep wreath tutorial today! The Pom Pom Sheep are here.
To make your pom pom sheep wreath you will need:

How to make a pom pom sheep wreath!
Now I separated out the pom pom sheep from the pom pom wreath, only to avoid this SUPER LONG article that gets confusing to read. Also, you may wish to buy “store bought” pom poms or even store bought pom pom sheep.. or even add some other cute little sheep……. so once you have your “extra”, you can come back and make this cute wreath!
Take your paper plate and cut out the centre. KEEP the centre, as you will need it as a little “perch” afterwards. You can paint the plate green if you wish, but it isn’t necessary!
Take your yarn – we like to double it up – makes it quicker.. and knot it around the back of your paper plate ring.
Start wrapping. It doesn’t have to be super neat and you don’t have to cover the WHOLE paper plate. How we love a yarn wrapping activity!
Once you have finished wrapping. Knot the yarn at the back of the plate. Keep a length of it for hanging (or you can later glue on a ribbon, like we did for a our Pom Pom Penguin Wreaths).
Yarn Wrapped Wreath – adding details
Now glue on your confetti flowers and/ or butterflies. If you don’t have any, you can use stickers, OR you can get the kids to draw some – that would be ADORABLE.
Similar to the flowers I drew as part of this flower pop up card here.
Adding your pom pom lambs to the yarn wrapped wreath
Now cut out a little rectangle from your spare card. Fold in half. Glue to the back of the wreath. This will be the “perch” for one or two pom pom sheep.
Glue your sheep in place.
Tie any additional pom poms, be it simple pink pom poms like us, or a pom pom be to either the yarn wrapping, or simply loop them round the wreath.
Your pom pom sheep wreath is finished!! ENJOY!
