Step by step guide for Horse Zodiac assembly
You can watch the Year of the Tiger video tutorial or follow the step by step instructions outlined below!
Use watercolor or felt tip pens (or both) for your background. If water colour was used, once finished, set your background aside to dry fully.

In the meanwhile, take the time to color in the horse coloring page.

After drying, carefully cut out the background by following the dotted lines. A nice rectangular shape should be the aim! This is a fun opprtunity for kids to practice and improve their cutting skills.
Carefully cut out all shapes of the horse printable.

Add a small amount of glue to the BACK of the horse’s head. Make sure to ONLY apply the glue to ONE END of the head to prevent it from flattening.
Now, allign each end of the horse’s head and glue down only the ends. You should have a loop shape. Rememeber, do not press down on he crease as the loop effect is what creates the 3D look!
Nearly there! Glue the horse’s body to the desired placement on the fully dried backgorund. And finally, glue the top back of the horse’s head on top of the horse’s body to finish it off.

And there you have it. A easy yet fun opportunity to incoorporate mixed media work and practice scissor cutting skills.
