Toddlers and preschoolers especially will love making this handprint and popsicle stick combination crafts for Christmas. We have a set of three different designs for you to check out. Handprint & Popsicle Stick Angels
We do love a cute Angel Craft come Christmas and this Handprint Angel is one of our favourite. Handprints make such great keepsakes to cherish.. and it is surprising how quickly toddlers grow (and then their hands become too big!!!). So do make these together and gift them to grandparents this holiday season.
Of course we need a little Popsicle Stick Rudolph in our collection. After all reindeer crafts make wonderfully cute ornaments and gifts for relatives at Christmas. Especially, when it comes with a fabulous pom pom nose!
Handprints make great gnome beards, did you know?! Combine them with a point triangle popsicle stick hat.. and you have yourself an adorable Handprint Christmas Gnome!
Santa hat homemade christmas ornament

Craft Stick Star Ornaments
Classic Craft Stick Stars
Popsicle stick star ornaments are of course a MUST! There are so many different ways you can make this classic recycled ornament craft and personalise it to you and your family. For starters, you can choose which colours to make your craft stick stars. You can leave them natural looking or paint them in all the colours of the rainbow. Then it is time to decorate.. will you add buttons, pom poms or sequens? Will you yarn wrap your star or leave it play. Oh the possibilities!! Simply dive into your craft box and see what you have to use up…
Craft Stick Nativity Star
And if you want to go the extra mile, why not revisit the nativity scene and turn your craft stick star into a Nativity Star, complete with a very simple Baby Jesus in a manger. Again, there is plenty of room for personalisation. Will you paint your nativity star yellow? Will you yarn wrap your star? Or will you keep it simple and focus on your paper Baby Jesus (made from very basic shapes, so easy for everyone to have a go!).
Popsicle Stick Star Santa
Well.. how cute is this Craft Stick Santa?! Such a fun Christmas Tree Ornament to make. I think it would be great little keepsake gift for kids to make too! Our little Santa Star ornament just needs a ribbon now for hanging.

Button Popsicle Stick Snowflake Ornaments
Craft sticks or popsicle sticks make great snowflakes too. A wonderful recycled popsicle stick ornament to make with kids! We used ice lolly sticks from the summer. I glued the snowflakes shape in place (at the time, we didn’t have a hot glue gun.. so I used PVA glue the day before). The kids painted the basic popsicle stick snowflake white and later we added recycled buttons to them. So lovely.
Craft Stick Christmas Tree Ornament
There are several ways you can make craft stick Christmas Tree Ornaments. Fireflies and mudpies has a go at making trinagle Christmas Trees (these could so happily sit in my popsicle triangle collection above)! Or…
Popsicle Stick Christmas Tree Ornaments version 2
… have a go at the Popsicle Stick Christmas Tree ornaments by One little project. Either lends themselves for lots of fun with embellishments, be it eco friendly glitter, stickers, pom poms or sequins.
Craft Stick & Pipe Cleaner Tree Ornament
Finally.. probably the simplest of all popsicle stick Christmas Tree Ornaments… combine a Craft Stick (as the tree trunk) with pipe cleaners (as the branches), add a loop of bakers twine, and you have yourself a basic Christmas Tree ornament! Then all you need, is some colorful pony beads and sorted. TOO CUTE! (and your preschooler will get to really practice their fine motor skills too!).
Popsicle Stick Sled Ornaments
You are big fans of sledding.. then you simply HAVE to make these ridiculously gorgeous popsicle stick sleds from Clean & Scentsible! Such a fabulous theme for the holiday season. The craft stick sleds are ADORABLE and the perfect way to use craft sticks as “wooden slats”. And are the perfect Christams Tree Ornament or would look adorable as part of your gift wrap too. Love all the details, right down to the little jingle bells!
