Fun and Easy Cereal Box Crafts for Kids
Cereal Box Crafts are great, as it is another household item that many have in abundance (well, not all.. I had to pinch a couple from my neighbour, but still a common enough item). The card is smooth and flexible and if you make use of the existing “box” there are many cereal box crafts you can explore.

Make your own counters for a DIY Checkers or Go! game. These little monster tokens are reversible and Cereal Boxes have just the right thickness to make these!
If you know Red Ted Art, you know that we love an Articulated Puppet! And that I have MANY printable puppets for you to make. But I also had a go at turning a cereal box into a dancing sheep puppet. I used relatively basic shapes to make these two little guys – so that you can have a go at making a danicng puppet, without the need for a printable. The Cereal Box has the perfect thickness to make these! Loved this project so much!
Foldable take a long dolls house and take a long train set. Same craft concept, but different ways to “execute”! I first made the take a long dolls house (with free printable furniture – hand drawn), and then my lovely reader sent me her take a long train set version. I LOVED it. Again, the Cereal Box proved brilliant for making this foldable take along toy. Perfect for going on holiday with with little ones. So cute!
Again a bit of a two for one.. similar concept, but different executions. You can make a fantastic little shadow puppet or Cereal Box Theatre for your favourite characters – whether it is Poppy Cat (free printable), Frozen (free printable) or even fun characters from the masked singer (free printable)!
I love this cereal box box frame back in the day. It was a great way for me to store AND display the kids’ artwork. Super easy to make and look great on your wall. AND you get to store all those drawings!
